Hey there, I'm Julia! I'm a writer who’s on a life-long journey of self-discovery and improvement. My love for writing started very young; I always had an aptitude for fabricating stories, since they helped me weave through the lessons of life. Over the years, I’ve tried all different types of prose: Article writing, feature writing, ghost writing, short stories, poetry, blurbs, op-eds, fiction, non-fiction, blah, blah, blah. I love it all.
Topics of development have been a great way to express myself through my work and helpful in reaching my audience. Improvement on all surfaces has been the main theme of my works, whether through an article, op-ed, or literary short. I'm a thorough believer that no matter where you are in life, new experiences, channels and connections in both the physical and metaphysical world can sometimes become confusing, leading you in different directions, causing you to misguide yourself on your expedition. I like sharing these moments with others, because I know no matter what it is I'm going through, I'm certainly never alone. I'm strong believer of taking control of your life and coming to terms with the higher path that's been set for you, no matter how much time you've spent battling the universe's call.
Growing up, I was obsessed with the constructed realities of literature, and how they sometimes felt realer than my own. For years, I stifled that side of me, rejecting the idea of making writing a career. Somewhere down the line, I realized being a writer was no longer an option, but the only choice I had; I couldn't not be who I was any more. Now, writing has become my lens. It’s the way I navigate my life, and my means of living. It provides me with a platform where I'm able to pass my lessons on and inspire others by doing what I've always loved. I write for Kulture Hub, covering a span of accomplishments by artists and creatives whose visions inspire communities, challenge the status quo, and change the world around them through various forms of activism.
To sum up, life can be a mess; trials, errors, lessons, what have you. The takeaway is the mere acceptance, resilience and blitheness of it all, surrendering to your purpose and living to be the best possible you.
